O Futuro da Civilização

As mentes modernas ficam muitas vezes perplexas com o medo e a dúvida da extinção da raça humana num curto período de tempo. As pessoas consideram que a civilização está passando por uma fase muito crítica e não há como escapar da sua aniquilação total. Mas isso não pode acontecer. Tanto os indivíduos como a sociedade dependem de três fatores para a sua existência, a saber, Asti (existência), Bhati (desenvolvimento e progresso) e Ananda (bem-aventurança). Moradia, alimentação, roupas, educação e instalações médicas são condições sine qua non para Asti ou existência. O termo Bhati significa Vibhati ou desenvolvimento e progresso. A mera minhoca, por exemplo, existe há centenas de milhões de anos, mas isto não significa existência no verdadeiro sentido do termo. Isto é, tem que haver Bhati, progresso e desenvolvimento. Comer, beber e ter prazer não pode representar uma vida verdadeira. Seria um estorvo, um tédio. Para o desenvolvimento integral de um indivíduo ou de uma sociedade é necessário um objetivo. Mas para este objectivo determinado a direção e o propósito do desenvolvimento permanecerão confusos. Um botão desabrocha em uma flor; isto é o que vocês podem chamar de seu desenvolvimento. O propósito de Bhati ou desenvolvimento é alcançar Ananda ou bem-aventurança. O termo Ananda conota felicidade infinita, o equilíbrio entre prazer e dor, a paz mental perfeita. A ausência de qualquer um dos fatores acima mencionados pode causar grande consternação ou convulsão na vida individual ou social. A Terra surgiu há dezenas de milhões de anos. Embora do ponto de vista arqueológico ainda esteja em sua infância, um dia ou outro certamente encontrará seu Waterloo. Isto significará naturalmente a extinção da raça humana. É assim? A destruição de um determinado planeta ou sistema solar não significa o fim da raça humana. Existem inúmeras outras estrelas e planetas no universo. Com o maior desenvolvimento da ciência e com a ajuda de sistemas de foguetes interplanetários, os seres humanos irão para outros planetas. O que hoje é um sonho, amanhã se tornará realidade. É o desejo inerente de um indivíduo e do corpo coletivo que toma forma concreta. Era um desejo antigo dos seres humanos voar no céu como pássaros. O avião foi produto desse desejo. O desejo é a mãe da ação. Nos próximos dias, vocês verão foguetes que poderão permitir aos seres humanos viajar para outros planetas. E se um dia esses planetas e estrelas também perecerem, as pessoas se mudarão para outros planetas. Também pode ser argumentado que poderá chegar um dia em que, devido à radiação constante de calor e luz, a temperatura de todo o universo poderá se tornar a mesma, ou seja, poderá ocorrer a morte térmica do universo. Na ausência de calor externo, o universo pode deixar de existir. Isto significa que a humanidade também perecerá. Mas isso não pode acontecer. Não pode haver uma morte térmica do universo. A solidificação do objeto resultará em Jadasphota (explosão). Um calor tremendo será liberado devido ao Jadasphota ou à explosão de um planeta em particular, e novas galáxias e estrelas serão formadas a partir dele. Não há, portanto, motivo para temer. A Terra pode um dia ser extinta, mas a humanidade não pode deixar de existir. Você pode ficar tranquilo com respeito a Asti (existência). Inúmeros fatores são necessários para o desenvolvimento (Asti) de um grupo de pessoas. Mas os seis seguintes são os mais importantes deles. Deveria haver uma ideologia espiritual na vida tanto do indivíduo quanto do corpo coletivo. Grande parte da sua energia é mal utilizada devido à ignorância de si mesmo e do destino para o qual você está se movendo. Este mau uso de energia está fadado a causar destruição. O segundo fator para o progresso da sociedade é o culto espiritual, um processo de Sádhaná (prática espiritual). Todo mundo tem uma estrutura física. O problema de cada indivíduo é produzir cada vez mais matéria ectoplásmica pelo corpo e depois convertê-la em consciência. Deve haver um processo adequado para esta conversão. O culto espiritual consiste na conversão dos cinco fatores rudimentares em matéria ectoplásmica e depois em consciência através de um processo científico especial. Este é um processo de metamorfose. O culto espiritual, portanto, é indispensável. Mas apenas a ideologia espiritual e a filosofia espiritual não são suficientes. O terceiro fator que é uma mistura de Asti e Bhati é uma teoria socioeconômica. Deveria haver um conhecimento a priori sobre a estrutura social, a distribuição da riqueza e o seu crescimento. Na falta deste conhecimento não pode haver uma base sólida para a construção do edifício social. O quarto é a perspectiva social. Todas as criaturas vivas neste universo manifesto são filhos da mesma Entidade Cósmica. Eles são descendentes do mesmo Progenitor Supremo. Naturalmente eles estão ligados por um fio de relações fraternas. Este é o espírito central. Uma teoria socioeconómica não serve para nada senão para este sentimento fraterno. A implementação desta teoria é uma impossibilidade sem Sádhaná (culto espiritual). O quinto fator para o progresso da sociedade é que ela tenha suas próprias escrituras. Há necessidade da companhia de pessoas elevadas (satsauṋga) em todas as esferas da vida. A autoridade cujo contato significa satsauṋga para você é o shástra. Aquilo que eleva a sociedade por meio de sháśana é chamado shástra. Deveríamos ter um shástra próprio. O último, mas não menos importante, fator para o progresso da sociedade é que ela tenha seu próprio preceptor. Toda a estrutura social depende destes seis fatores. Bhati (progresso) não tem sentido sem eles. A fraqueza de um deles pode comprometer a própria existência de Bhati (desenvolvimento e progresso). Desde os tempos antigos, muitos grupos de pessoas surgiram. Alguns deles de alguma forma conseguiram se avançar, alguns foram extintos e alguns continuaram a existir de forma metamorfoseada. Há cerca de mil e quinhentos anos, os árabes eram muito desenvolvidos na ciência. Mas foram derrotados pela onda islâmica, pois faltavam-lhes os seis factores acima mencionados, enquanto esta última tinha pelo menos cinco deles. O mesmo acontece com o Egito. Foi plenamente desenvolvido nas esferas da arte, arquitetura e ciência. Foram os egípcios que fizeram as pirâmides que precisavam de conhecimento geométrico sutil. Além disso, eles também eram muito avançados na esfera da civilização. Apesar disso, eles não conseguiram evitar a derrota. O Egito de hoje é a forma egípcia da civilização árabe. A causa da morte da sua forma mais antiga foi a falta dos seis fatores acima mencionados. A civilização cristã ou romana também esteve consideravelmente mais elevada na escala do desenvolvimento. No entanto, eles careciam de perspectiva social. Não havia sentimentos de fraternidade e igualdade. O sistema escravocrata era desenfreado e os sentimentos humanos estavam em declínio. Além disso, a falta de uma teoria socioeconômica adequada gerou neles uma espécie de mentalidade fascista. Aqueles que praticavam o luxo e eram avessos ao trabalho tornaram-se indolentes. Naturalmente eles foram derrotados por uma força mais forte e extenuante. A destruição das civilizações grega e chinesa também foi causada pela falta dos fatores de Bhati (desenvolvimento e progresso). Os arianos só puderam derrotar os indus nativos devido à falta destes últimos nos fatores de Bhati. Eles tinham vários fatores de Bhati, mas não havia preceptor e, portanto, foram derrotados. Também no futuro, por falta dos seis fatores de Bhati, a extinção de um relativo grupo de pessoas certamente acontecerá. Mas onde esses fatores estão presentes, o movimento é em direção à Ananda ou bem-aventurança divina, e devido a esse movimento a chance de sua eliminação torna-se nula. Esses grupos que possuem os seis fatores em sua posse serão capazes de produzir Sadvipras. Sadvipras são aqueles cujos esforços são direcionados para a obtenção de Ananda. Eles também estão conscientes de Asti e não faltam-lhes os seis fatores de Bhati. Eles são fortes em moralidade e estão sempre prontos para travar guerra contra atividades imorais. Tapah Siddhi (condição de sacrifício) é uma impossibilidade sem os seis fatores de Bhati. Aqueles que aderem estritamente aos princípios da moralidade, estão abrigados em Tapah e estão prontos para travar uma guerra contra os imoralistas são sadvipras. Somente aqueles Sadvipras estão a salvo da destruição e extinção e que podem trabalhar para o bem-estar da sociedade humana. Portanto, torna-se o principal dever de todas as pessoas tornarem-se Sadvipras, e aos outros também. Por Sadvipra não se entende aqueles que praticam Mala-Jap ou Práńáyám. Em Práńáyám também existem três estágios – Purak significa inspirar; Kumbhak, que consiste em prender a respiração e recak, que expira. O Práńáyám dos Sadvipras será inspirar todo o universo em Purak, mantê-lo dentro de si em Kumbhak e então exalá-lo após misturá-lo com sua própria grandeza e boa vontade em Recak. Os Sadvipras travarão uma luta incessante contra a imoralidade e todos os tipos de tendências fisíparas. Aqueles que se apresentam como Dhármicos (éticos espiritualistas), mas são tímidos com o espírito de luta, não podem ser chamados de Sadvipras. Shiva foi ótimo porque seu Trishul (tridente) estava sempre pronto para atacar os imoralistas. Krishna foi ótimo porque suas flechas tinham como objetivo refrear os elementos anti-humanos e imorais. Ele também encorajou os moralistas a travar guerra contra os imorais. Eles não eram apenas Sadvipras, mas também os pais dos Sadvipras – os grandes Sadvipras. Esses Sadvipras estão sempre ocupados na tarefa de promover a elevação dos seres humanos. Quando esta Terra envelhecer, eles conduzirão os seres humanos a outros planetas, dirigindo esforços científicos. Algumas pessoas temem que bombas atômicas ou de megatons possam um dia causar a extinção da raça humana. Mas tais medos são mal concebidos e sem sentido. É o intelecto humano o responsável pela sua produção e, portanto, naturalmente o intelecto é superior aos seus produtos. Poderá um dia inventar tais armas que poderão tornar ineficazes até bombas atômicas ou de megatons. O grito pelo desarmamento fortalecerá, portanto, a capacidade destrutiva das bombas atômicas. Pode levar a humanidade à sua aniquilação total. É, portanto, um grande obstáculo, um impedimento ao desenvolvimento progressivo da sociedade humana. Precisamos de armas mais poderosas do que as bombas atómicas ou de hidrogênio. Sadvipras fabricarão armas muito poderosas. Se quisermos que a raça humana sobreviva, se quisermos salvar milhões de vidas inocentes, torna-se dever dos apóstolos da paz utilizar armas mais poderosas do que as que possuem atualmente. Os Sadvipras nunca ficarão para trás na realização de experimentos científicos. Quando a Terra se tornar inabitável para os seres humanos, eles os transferirão para outros planetas. A escassez de alimentos não é um problema novo. Somente os Sadvipras e não os políticos e especialistas podem salvar o mundo disso. Eles produzirão esses comprimidos que substituirão os grãos alimentícios. Fazer um alarido inútil sobre os problemas não os aliviará. Só o espírito de lutar contra todas as probabilidades pode resolver os problemas que os seres humanos enfrentam. Marchem em frente e façam guerra contra todas as dificuldades, todos os impedimentos. A vitória certamente o abraçará. Dificuldades e obstáculos não podem ser mais poderosos do que a sua capacidade de resolvê-los. Vocês são filhos da grande Entidade Cósmica. People deem that civilization is passing through a very critical phase and there is no possible escape from its total annihilation. But this can’t happen. Both individuals and society are dependent on three factors for their existence, viz., Asti, Bhati and Ananda. Dwelling place, food, clothing, education and medical facilities are the sine qua non for Asti or existence. The term Bhati means Vibhati or development and progress. The mere earthworm for instance, has existed for hundreds of millions of years, yet it does not signify existence in the true sense of the term. That is to say, there has to be Bhati, progress and development. Eating, drinking and being merry cannot represent a true life. It would be an encumbrance, a boredom. For the all-round development of an individual or a society a goal is needed. But for this determined goal the direction and purpose of development will remain confused. A bud blooms into a flower; this is what you may call its development. The purpose of Bhati or development is the attainment of Ananda or bliss. The term Ananda connotes infinite happiness, the equipoise of pleasure and pain, the perfect mental peace. The absence of any of the aforesaid factors may cause a great consternation or convulsion in individual or social life. The earth came into existence tens of millions of years ago. Though from the archaeological point of view it is still in its infancy, one day or the other it is bound to meet its Waterloo. This will naturally mean the extinction of the human race. Is it so? The destruction of a particular planet or solar system does not mean the end of the human race. There are numerous other stars and planets in the universe. With further development of science and by the help of inter-planetary rocket systems, human beings will move to other planets. What is a dream today will become a reality tomorrow. It is the inherent desire of an individual and the collective body which takes a concrete shape. It was an age-old desire of human beings to fly in the sky like birds. The aeroplane was a product of this desire. Desire is the mother of action. In coming days, you will see such rockets which may enable human beings to travel to other planets. And if one day these planets and stars also perish people will move to other planets. It may also be argued that a day may come when due to constant radiation of heat and light the temperature of the entire universe may become the same, that is, the thermal death of the universe may occur. In the absence of external heat the universe may cease to exist. This means that humanity will also perish. But it can't happen. There can't be a thermal death of the universe. The solidification of the object will result in Jadasphota. Tremendous heat will be released due to the Jadasphota or exploding apart of a particular planet, and new galaxies and stars will be formed out of it. There is therefore, no cause to fear. The earth may one day become extinct but humanity can't cease to exist. You can rest assured of Asti. Numerous factors are needed for the development of a group of people. But the following six are the most important of them. There should be a spiritual ideology in the life of both the individual and the collective body. Much of your energy is misused due to the ignorance of your own self and the destination towards which you are moving. This misuse of energy is bound to cause destruction. The second factor for the progress of society is spiritual cult, a Sádhaná process. Everyone has got a physical structure. The problem with every individual is to produce more and more ectoplasmic stuff by the body and then to convert it into consciousness. There should be a proper process for this conversion. Spiritual cult consists of the conversion of the five rudimental factors into ectoplasmic stuff and then into consciousness through a special scientific process. This is a process of metamorphosis. Spiritual cult therefore, is indispensable. But only spiritual ideology and spiritual philosophy will not do. The third factor which is a blending of Asti and Bhati is a socio-economic theory. There should be a priori knowledge regarding the social structure, the distribution of wealth and its growth. For want of this knowledge there can't be a solid ground for the construction of the social edifice. The fourth one is social outlook. All living creatures in this manifest universe are the children of the same Cosmic Entity. They are the progeny of the same Supreme Progenitor. Naturally they are bound in a thread of fraternal relations. This is the central spirit. A socio-economic theory is of no use but for this fraternal feeling. The implementation of this theory is an impossibility without Sádhaná. The fifth factor for the progress of society is for it to have its own scripture. There is a need for the company of elevated persons (satsauṋga) in all spheres of life. The authority whose contact means satsauṋga for you is the shástra. That which elevates society by dint of sháśana is called [[shástra]]. We should have a shástra of our own. The last but not the least important factor for the progress of society is for it to have its own preceptor. The entire social structure is dependent on these six factors. Bhati is meaningless without them. The weakness of one among them may jeopardize the very existence of Bhati. From ancient times many groups of people came into existence. Some of them somehow managed to drag on, some became extinct and some continued to exist in a metamorphosed form. About one thousand five hundred years ago, Arabs were very developed in science. But they were defeated by the Islamic wave, for they were lacking in the six aforesaid factors, while the latter had at least five of them. The same is the case with Egypt. It was fully developed in the spheres of art, architec ture and science. It is the Egyptians who made the pyramids which needed subtle geometrical knowledge. Moreover, they were also very advanced in the sphere of civilization. Despite this, they could not prevent their defeat. Today’s Egypt is the Egyptian form of Arab civilization. The cause of the death of its older form was the lack of the aforesaid six factors. The Christian or Roman civilization was also considerably higher on the ladder of development. Yet they were lacking in social outlook. There were no feelings of fraternity and equality. The slave system was rampant and human feelings were on the wane. Furthermore, the lack of a proper socio-economic theory generated a kind of fascist mentality in them. Those rolling in luxury and adverse to labour became indolent. Naturally they were defeated by a stronger and more strenuous force. The destruction of the Greek and Chinese civilizations was also caused by the lack of the factors of Bhati. The Aryans could defeat the indigenous Indians only due to the latter’s lacking in the factors of Bhati. They had several factors of Bhati but there was no preceptor and hence they were defeated. In the future also, for want of the six factors of Bhati, the extinction of a concerned group of people is sure to happen. But where these factors are present, there the movement is to wards Ananda or divine bliss, and due to this movement the chance of their elimination becomes nil. Such groups which have the six factors in their possession will be able to produce Sadvipras. Sadvipras are those whose all efforts are directed towards the attainment of Ananda. They are also conscious of Asti and don’t lack in the six factors of Bhati. They are strong in morality and are always ready to wage war against immoral activities. Tapah Siddhi is an impossibility without the six factors of Bhati. Those who strictly adhere to the principles of morality, are ensconced in Tapah, and are ready to wage a war against immoralists are sadvipras. Only those Sadvipras are safe from destruction and extinction who can work for the welfare of the human society. Therefore, it becomes the prime duty of all people to make themselves and others Sadvipras. By Sadvipra it is not meant those who practice Mala-Jap or Práńáyám. In Práńáyám also there are three stages – Purak means to inhale; Kumbhak which is to hold the breath and recak which to exhale. The Práńáyám of the Sadvipras will be to inhale the entire universe in Purak, to keep it within in Kumbhak and then to exhale it after mixing it with their own greatness and good will in Recak. Sadvipras will wage a ceaseless struggle against immorality and all sorts of fissiparous tendencies. Those who pose as Dharmic but are bashful with the spirit of fight cannot be called Sadvipras. Shiva was great because his Trishul was always ready to strike at the immoralists. Krishna was great because his arrows were meant to curb the anti-human and immoral elements. He also encouraged the moralists to wage war against the immoral ists. They were not only Sadvipras but also the parents of Sadvipras – the great Sadvipras. These Sadvipras are always busy in the task of promoting the elevation of human beings. When this earth will become old they will lead human beings to other planets by directing scientific endeavours. Some people fear that atom or megaton bombs may one day cause the extinction of the human race. But such fears are ill-conceived and meaningless. It is human intellect which is responsible for their production and so naturally intellect is superior to its products. It may one day invent such weapons which may render ineffective even atom or megaton bombs. The cry for disarmament, therefore, will strengthen the destructive capacity of the atom bombs. It may lead humanity towards it total annihilation. It is, therefore, a great obstruction, an impediment in the progressive development of the human society. We need more powerful weapons than atom or hydrogen bombs. Sadvipras will manufacture such powerful weapons. If the human race is to survive, if millions of innocent lives are to be saved, it becomes the duty of the apostles of peace to utilize more powerful weapons than what they have at present. Sadvipras will never lag behind in making scientific experiments. When the earth will become uninhabitable for human beings they will shift them to other planets. Food shortage is not a new problem. Only Sadvipras and not the politicians and experts can save the world from it. They will produce such tablets which will be substitutes for food grains. By making a useless fuss over problems one will not ease the trouble. The spirit to fight against all odds alone can solve the problems confronting human beings. March ahead and wage war against all difficulties, every impediment. Victory is sure to embrace you. Difficulties and encumbrances cannot be more powerful than your capacity to solve them. You are the children of the great Cosmic Entity.
